Happy Memorial Day Weekend BBQ Tips
This weekend alot of people from coast to coast will be BBQing, in fact, we’re having a BBQ here ourselves. But BBQing can be alot of work, to do it right, so I thought I’d share a few tips, I don’t know it all, so please add any tips you have as well in the comment section.
Marinade, Marinade, Marinade
Marinading the meat, chicken, ribs, or fish, will make it more tender and taste better
Cook everything all the way thru
You don’t want to get sick from bacteria, so make sure you cook everything all the way thru. Get an inexpensive but capable meat thermometer . Temperature should register above 150/165 degrees
Don’t burn it, watch it
You’ve people running all around the place, you have a few drinks, people are talking to you, people are arriving, there’s ALOT of distractions. Don’t let those distractions take you away from the grill too long, otherwise the food is going to burn, pay attention to the grill. You don’t ahve to hover over it, but pay attention.
First BBQ of the year/season, clean it good first
If this is the first BBQ of the year/season, clean it really good, inside and out, that way you’ll have a better grilling procedure.
Try Grilling Vegetables
Grilled vegetables are Deeelicious Try grilling zucchini, yellow squash, red onions, red, green, and yellow peppers, even potatoes
Make it a potluck
You don’t have to make it all yourselves, ask guests that are coming to bring some things. Prepare ahead of time. Like Santa Claus does; Make a list, check it twice
Add your tips to this list, enjoy and have a great weekend and upcoming Summer : )
